The album Shirey Moledet 2 was released in September 1985 as part of Ofra Haza’s flagship project to revive classic Israeli songs. Following her international success at Eurovision, Ofra became a symbol of Israeli culture at its best, and the album was born from a desire to continue introducing traditional homeland songs to the younger generation. For this installment, the musician Shem Tov Levi was entrusted with the musical production and arrangements, lending the songs a unique and high-quality color. Recorded at “Triton” studios, the album was a resounding success, reaching Platinum status and featuring unforgettable performances such as HaNe’arim HaSapanim.
