The song was originally written for Ron Arad, an Israeli who was captivated in Lebanon since 1986, and since 1988 no one knows where he is, or if he dead or alive.
Ofra: “Ehud manor gave me the text just before an international event for all the captivated people, that was supposed to take place in London. We gave it to someone to write music, but I didn’t like the music, so we suggested, Bezalel and me, that Bo’az Sharabi will write the music for it. When I got it back it was beautiful, but more suitable for Bo’az, and we suggested that he will sing it. In the meanwhile, I got connected to the text, and didn’t want to give it up. I was also not very comfortable with singing only for Ron Arad, with all the pain for his condition, when there are other captivaed people. Ilan Wirzberg wrote a beautiful melody, we changed the words a little, so it turned to a love and miss song for all those who are captivated”.

When You Come
When you come
one day of the days
days that are sealed
with the end of a prayer.
When you come
I will offer you flowers
flowers that are opened
without a word
And if you will be tired
and if you will be covered with sadness
I will sing for you quietly, softly
And if you will be tired
and if you will be covered with sadness
I will sing for you quietly
And I will wait
Till you join
Till you join
When you come
home from the cold
home to the light
our heart will shake.
When you come
behind the tears
you’ll see between the voices
you’re not alone
And if you will be tired
and if you will be covered with sadness
I will sing for you quietly, softly
And if you will be tired
and if you will be covered with sadness
I will sing for you quietly
And I will wait
Till you join
Till you join
And if you will be tired
and if you will be covered with sadness
I will sing for you quietly, softly
And if you will be tired
and if you will be covered with sadness
I will sing for you quietly
And I will wait
And if you will be tired
and if you will be covered with sadness
I will sing for you quietly, softly
And if you will be tired
and if you will be covered with sadness
I will sing for you quietly
And I will wait
Till you join
Till you join
Till you join
Till you join
