Kshe-tavo

  • Lyrics: Ehud Manor
  • Music: Ilan Wirzberg
  • Arrangements: Ilan Wirzberg
  • Album: Kol HaNeshama (1994)
The song was originally written for Ron Arad, an Israeli who was captivated in Lebanon since 1986, and since 1988 no one knows where he is, or if he dead or alive. Ofra: “Ehud manor gave me the text just before an international event for all the captivated people, that was supposed to take place in London. We gave it to someone to write music, but I didn’t like the music, so we suggested, Bezalel and me, that Bo’az Sharabi will write the music for it. When I got it back it was beautiful, but more suitable for Bo’az, and we suggested that he will sing it. In the meanwhile, I got connected to the text, and didn’t want to give it up. I was also not very comfortable with singing only for Ron Arad, with all the pain for his condition, when there are other captivaed people. Ilan Wirzberg wrote a beautiful melody, we changed the words a little, so it turned to a love and miss song for all those who are captivated”.
