Ofra said: “On the previous album, Bayit Cham (A Place for Me), I had a song called Goral Echad (Mutual Destiny), but I felt it didn’t really belong on that album and that it needed an album of its own. Later I received Hitchadshut (Renewal), which also suited it, and both songs appear on the album Adama (Earth).”

The song reached number 16 on Reshet Gimmel’s annual chart in 1985. During the year, it held the top position on the chart for two weeks.

The song reached number 11 on Galei Tzahal’s annual chart in 1985. During the year, it spent one week at the top of the chart.
