Singer Ofra Haza, who passed away 25 years ago, will “perform” at Israel’s independence ceremony using Artificial Intelligence. The original plan of the event organizers, which will take place on Mount Herzl on Independence Day, was to have a duet by Yardena Arazi – who was invited to light a torch at the ceremony – together with an avatar of Ofra Haza, as part of the main theme of the Independence Year “Bridges of Hope”. But because Arazi refused to light the torch, the producers of the ceremony were left with only the image of Haza – who will perform a string of songs.
