Adama

  • Lyrics: Ehud Manor
  • Music: Yair Klinger
  • Arrangements: Eric Rudich
  • Album: Adama (1985)

The song is a new version of the song Love is Love, originally performed by Alessandra Mussolini, the granddaughter of Italy’s fascist ruler. When Yair Klinger returned to Israel, he brought the melody to Ofra and asked her to sing a song set to that tune. Ofra and Betzalel liked the melody very much and turned to Ehud Manor to write lyrics for it.

The song reached fifth place on Reshet Gimmel’s annual chart in 1985. During the year, it held the number-one position on the chart for two weeks.

The song reached number 7 on Galei Tzahal’s annual chart in 1985. During the year, it also held the top position for two weeks.
